Demers out for the Blackhawks game. Shit, Demers may be out for awhile:

Demers won't be in the lineup against the Blackhawks. He wasn't at Monday's practice. McLellan said Demers was hurt during a second-period scrum around the net in the 3-0 loss to Columbus.

"He's going to be out for a little while," McLellan said of Demers "We'll miss him."

Demers speed would be very useful against Chicago.

Demers is becoming the most well rounded dman for the Sharks. Another late round gem. Sharks are so good at that but so mediocre at first round talent (except Couture). Sharks will miss him big time. I thought I heard during the telecast that it was his wrist or arm.

They were speculating it was his wrist. At one point during the game he fell awkwardly, when he got back up and was skating back to the bench he was flexing his hand and wrist.

This^^^. The kid has really had a nice follow up to last season. He's been my favorite defenseman from Game 1 to now. He's gotten a lot better in his own zone (even though his offense has suffered a little). He's super mobile, a solid skater and he can even lay the boom sometimes.

That's scary to me. Especially when you take into consideration the Tadd's foreshadowing.
