Don't know if anyone else has been paying attention to the Little League World Series. but our Bonney Lake/Sumner kids won the NorthWest Regionals to play in the LLWS, but lost to Iowa 6-3 today. What a hoot watching these 11 and 12 yr old kids. Some amazing young talent waiting in the wings. It's unreal how skilled and talented some of these little squirts are. :thumb: :suds: :pound:

PS: Celebrating the 75 year of Little League Ball. :yahoo:
I live in Bonney Lake and we know 2 kids on the team.

They also got smoked by Hawaii on the first night.

Still cool having your town representing in Williamsport

I know this is after the fact, but I said it to myself at the time. Wouldn't you rather pitch Castillo in the 9th with nobody on and then have Munoz pitch the 10th with a guy on 2nd with an outstanding ability to k the side?

Pissed another away because the Mariners suck balls at advancing the runner in extra innings. 1 pitch wanker is getting old.
Bunt, hit the ball weakly on the ground etc. but 1 pitch wanker had to screw that up.

With the rules are how they are with a guy starting on second base in extra innings (a rule I like) you would think teams would train how to bunt or ways to advance the runner instead of everyone just flailing away.

When your manager intentionally walk a batter to set up a potential DP… it’s probably best if you don’t walk the damn next batter as well in 5 pitches.

1-7 with RISP today.
Haniger 0-2
France 0-1
Winker 0-2

No excuses by these guys whatsoever to unable to plate runners when they literally make up the heart of the lineup.

Everyone? We watched the Angeles do that quite well against the M's several weeks back. There are teams that can play small ball. The M's for sure are not one.

You would think that one of those Mendoza line players can be useful for something. Like idk…. Be very good at least playing small ball. But nope!

It's one loss against a bad team. Just go take care of business and win the series tomorrow. Castillo will be on the mound. Go do what team aces do and get out with the series.

Watching this game it really felt like the M's didn't take the A's seriously and felt they'd win just by showing up. I honestly would have pulled Frazier after his pathetic attempt at that ground ball. Like wtf are you even doing on the field if you're just gonna stand there like an idiot.

Ya he really pissed me off on that play. Opened the flood gates and cost us the game. That and trying to get a .200 hitting 3B into the lineup in RF.

Moore
2021 101 GS .181
2022 49 GS .197

Bloomquist
2012 73 GS .303
2013 29 GS .317
2014 32 GS .278

Bloomquist's last 3 full years. Despite hitting a hundred points higher than Moore, he was used primarily as a bench guy because he was a bench guy.

My point for years is that just because a guy is a good bench guy, and Moore is, doesn't mean you need to start him.
