I'll ask again.....>WHY DOES ANYONE WANT HOWARD????

He's a BUM. Look at this game. Where's the effort? Where's the pride? Where's the dignity?

He had an opportunity to shine when Kobe went down......what he's proven is that he is NOT a franchise worthy player right now. He's a complimentary piece.

Anyone that signs him will be overpaying. He can't carry a team anywhere.

LOL Howard. And Kobe just so happens to come to the bench as Howard leaves?

Dwight Howard continues the tradition of Lakers big men to get ejected when the team is about to be swept

The 2 best teams in the league sweep their series.

That Heat/Spurs finals will be epic

GO SPURS GO!!

GO SPURS GO!!

Remember, the Lakers wanted to play San Antonio.

They celebrated that matchup like they won the lottery.

I think SA was quietly motivated by the complete lack of respect.

LOL I always found it funny how the lakers wanted the Spurs. I guess I gave the Lakers too much credit as I thought they would have the heart/fight to at least win 1 of their home games.

Lakers would have been better off losing their final 2 games and having Utah make the playoffs so they wouldn't have to get embarrassed. At least Utah would have put up a fight at home.

Yeah, cause Dwight, Pau and the summer league roster were gonna beat the Spurs. If the Lakers are healthy, it's a different series. Not saying they win because there is no way to know. But I seriously doubt that they get swept.

Word, if they want to take the hollow victory that's fine with me though lol, that's why there's always next year. Especially for the Lakers.

Do we REALLY have to quote all the Lakers fans that thought you'd beat the Spurs, and then beat Denver to make the Western Conference Finals?

On this very thread:

2nd overall post

Most people believe that the Lakers can win this one and advance. The Lakers might get stopped by the Denver Thugs though if they don't figure out a few things. I still believe that the Lakers are good enough to beat the Spurs and Denver Thuggets, but not good enough to beat Miami or Oklahoma

It was not only Laker fans.

It was talking heads everywhere on TV. Heck, I even started to think there was something to it myself....

One week ago, there was a very palpable optimism (bordering on over-confidence) that the Lakers were going to upset the Spurs.

I think deep down San Antonio took that really personal.

I never understood folks that seemingly follow sports more to be anti-something than to support something. A lot of "fans" of other teams seem to derive more pleasure, certainly spend more time/energy, talking about the Lakers than their own avowed team.

Maybe it has something to do with how often we win.

My theory all along BEFORE the series was that SA had a gimpy Parker and a Ginobli whom wouldn't be ready until round 2...also I assumed that Nash was ready to go and that he,Blake,Artest,Gasol, and Meeks would be healthy....so please don't monday morning QB this series. When Parker was good enough to be decent, and when Ginobli was Ginobli WHILE the people I thought would be healthy on our side were injured, I proclaimed this over after game 2.
