LeBron should have 9 maybe 10.

We don’t all get what we want.

Over Steve Nash for sure, at lease one of those. But who else should he have taken one from? Dirk? Duncan? Garnett? Iverson?

I mean, MJ should have had like 3 more and LeBron too. MVP votes are weird, voters get tired of voting for the same guy too much. There's a sense of taking turns so every super duper star gets one. Curry should have only one, LeBron should have one of his. Kobe probably should have one of Nash's

Nash was runner-up to Dirk in 06-07. Kobe came in a distant third.

Hilarious that Nash almost pulled off a three-peat of MVP’s.

Anyone who watch kobe play in his prime knew he was by far the best basketball player in the NBA. Not gonna take anything away from Nash. But Kobe was on another Level, in a stacked west, on a shitty team, The year Dallas was the best team, AND BY FAR, Kobe put up 62 points in 3 Quarters against them. 62 points IN THE NBA, IN 3 QUARTERS? Give me a fucking break.

Should Kobe have more than 1 MVP? Yes.

How many more? At least 1 more, maybe as many as 3 more.

However, as @The Derski pointed out, Lebron should have at least 9. Guys don't get voted MVP's when they deserve them for several reasons.

Sometimes, it's fatigue because voters don't want the same guy every year.

Sometimes the guy who deserves it is on a team that doesn't have enough to win anything.

Sometimes, it's because reporters don't like a player.

In Kobe's case, I'd expect that it's a combination of the r*pe allegation and the fact that in a couple of the seasons when he deserved it, the Lakers were a first round playoff exit.

I honestly think the bolded is more of the case than the r*pe.

Why are you posted a 15 year old article? We all know this happened.

Because it’s part of the reason he is looked at like he is. That and the fact that I fn can if you want multiple answers.

Is there a different league where this is more common?
