Bunn has been my coffee maker for 15 yrs...2 different machines...simple, works.

We got a Kuerig about a month ago 2.0 k350...worked for a week then it stopped working...took it back...back to the Bunn...we have an older Kuerig at the office and it works fine...not a 2.0, can put your own coffee into it.

^ Can't beat a Bunn, fast and brews a great cup of coffee.

But still for me the best way to go is just use the French Press. I got my for $12 and I use it all the time.

BTW...for the Keurig 2.0 there are a few hacks out there. One company sells a clip on device Freedom Clip banishes DRM on your Keurig 2.0 machine | Digital Trends

The ECO-Fill states their 2.0 reusable cup works with the Keurig 2.0 but not sure, never seen it in action.

It doesn't work in the 2.0. I have a 2.0 and we use any coffee we want. All you need to do is cut an "approved keurig" coffee k-cup and cut away everything except the white ring on the top. I take a rubber band and place it on any cup I want and it works just fine. Or, you can use tape if you want. Here's how we do it:

^ Yeah sorry I should have mentioned that's what a co-worker of mine does with his 2.0. He was going to get that clip thing but never did, that is the only reason I heard of it.

ha, yours acting up?

replaced it. It sitll works, but my wife got tired of not having a pot of coffee to keep going back to. Plus the kuerig didn't make strong enough coffee.

That to me is the big downfall the strength

Yeah, the "aha" moment was a trip to the lake. The cabin had a carafe coffee maker but we didn't bring any. They had some cheap coffee that no telling how old it was, but tasted 10x better than the really good k-cups we were buying. I didn't realize how watery the keurig was. Even with a really strong coffee, smells awful but gave a bold taste, that couldn't compare with just regular bagged dunkin donuts from a brewer.

@GreenNickle I have almost pulled that trigger twice. I'm just so lazy and only drink one cup. I have heard good things about something, an aero press or something? This new machine works great, has a second slot for puting water if you just want hot water so have been using that for my kids hot chocolate (in Texas in the summer no less :L ) and tea.

Yep, we had one for five years and loved it. Used our own coffee, and never had a problem. Last year, my wife's boss told her donate her old one to the office lounge and the company would get her a new one. It just crapped out on us last night after a little over a year. The fact that you cannot use your own coffee in the new ones helped us go back to a Cuisinart. My sister-in-law and her husband had a Keurig go out on them after having it for a little over 18 months. Don't know what the deal is, but it seems that the quality has taken a hit.

Get a coffee press

Keurig is good for making water that is about it.
We've had a coffee press for about a decade and we love it. The wife and I both love the type of coffee you can stand a fork up in. We generally use it on the weekends, and it definitely makes a great cup of java.

People say folks in Seattle love their coffee, but it's universal.

We have this Breville single cup. Flawless for 14 months now. Takes all the K cups.

Only downside it has a timer to turn the unit on (takes 3 minutes for the unit to heat up) but not to actually make a cup of coffee. One it's heated, hit the button.. makes a cup in 20 seconds

This thing has an ice coffee feature ...it gives you a small concentrated cup of coffee so when you add ice to it ...it will chill quickly and you end up with the right mix of water to coffee.

The wife is a huge ice coffee fan.
