Tae Kwon Do. I have been out of it for awhile now. I kind of watched a bit of it during the olympics
Good stuff. Lots and lots of leg kicks, eh?

Yea, the sport/competition part of it is. The use of hands has almost completely disappeared from competition. The self defense part has throws, take downs, all kinds of good stuff. I actually checked out a Tae Kwon Do school a few months ago and see they started incorporating ground work which we never did. I am disappointed in the direction Olympic Tae Kwon Do has gone. Some of what I watched bares liittle resemblence to what we practiced.

I started my son in Kajukenbo.

You would most likely enjoy some jujitsu classes if you hadn't thought of that yet. Great stuff if you or your opponent is ever on the ground.

Great art, but nah, I don't like getting thrown all the time.

I like what Kap is saying its nice to see that he has a weakness and he wants to get better. Everyone knows he works his butt off so lets hope next year with a NEW OC he will be good to go and be improved. He has the talent(last 2 years show that). He just had a bad year with a sinking ship with Roman and harbaugh.

Only Hope

Tom House did work with Alex Smith. Not sure about the other guys, but Tom House is a baseball guy that helps with throwing motions. Definitely could help Kaep with his throwing motion which affects accuracy which really suffered this year. Hopefully, he works on other parts of his game. Much of that would come with a new QB and OC later in the spring.

Yes, it can only help, but too bad he can't work on reading defenses....Pre and Post snap. Watching film helps, but nothing like the on field training.

But anyway, working on passing mechanics beat lifting weights.

When it comes to reading defenses, according to Steve Young, watching a ton of film really does help. That and probably working with the offensive coaches

Thinking more about the OC, I guess it was more Andrew Luck in college than the coaches? Just curious because Roman was the OC there.

yes, the QB makes more difference, but that's the same for all OC's.

On the flip side, if Kaep isn't a good passing QB, is that more on Roman?

Roman was the Running Game coordinator at Stanford. How much was Roman involved in Luck's development? That is a question because I don't follow College football and know nothing about Stanford Football. Appears Roman was also David Carr's QB coach.
