Las Vegas and Seattle? 4 divisions of 8? That would seem easier to do than 8 divisions of 4, but it's still a bitch in some areas.

Pacific--GS, LAC, LAL, LV, PHX, POR, SAC, SEA

Midwest--ATL, DAL, DEN, HOU, NO, OKC, SA, UTA

Central--CHI, CLE, DET, IND, MEM, MIL, MIN, TOR

Atlantic--BOS, BKN, CHA, MIA, NY, ORL, PHI, WAS

Placing the Hawks and Grizzlies were the most difficult.

I would think that Hawks have to swap with either Mem or Min, but I have long felt Wolves should be in the East.

According the Mayor of Seattle a possible Expansion of a Seattle team could happen sooner rather than later with Vegas also being in the mix. According to the article all the losses occurring because of the pandemic they would be open to a city that's willing to pay a 2.5 billion dollar fee for a team would be an attractive deal. Also Seattle just opened up the Climate Pledge arena for the Krakens.

What division would you put the Hawks?

It doesn't matter so long as they are in the East. You overthought it. Like the easiest call would just be swap Atlanta for Memphis or Minny

With 8 teams in 4 divisions you could play division foes 4x (28 games) and every other team 2x (48 games) for a total of 76 games. It's in between the current schedule (72) and what they traditionally have played (82). Interested to see what they finally decide on a regular schedule in the next few years.

Wouldn't want to ruin the rivalry between the Cowboys and Re........Football Team.

Sure, I understand why. Still a little crazy though.

If it isn’t Jeff Bezo’s then person is a moron buying the expansion team for Seattle.

Yep. Looked good other than that. Minny in the west and Atlanta east.

What do you mean?
Anyone besides Bezo’s would be a fool to pay 2.5 billion for a franchise that he will only make money off of the television rights in a league that is hemogriging money right now. The Seattle City Council intentionally set up the Arena to make it prohibitive for a NBA owner to be successful just as they did in 94 for a NHL owner.
