It's Mark Brunell (former NFL QB). He hasn't coached long (I think this is his third or forth season as an NFL coach), so it might be a big jump for him, but I wouldn't be opposed if the Lions handed him the job.

I assume if is it an internal hire it would be Tanner Engstrand.

I think the allure of starting with Herbert (even if the rest of the team is a fucking mess) makes it more likely than the Raiders, imo. If the Bears job opened up Harbaugh might be open to that one more with Williams, imo.

His love for McCarthy might push the Bears to make a different QB decision. Raiders would be in easy range of adding McCarthy.

I think those sanctions aren't going to make a difference. Even the NCAA President has been downplaying the whole thing lately. Harbaugh either wants to go NFL or he doesn't. I don't think a smack on the wrist to program from the NCAA is going to send him packing.
