I was wondering if that was the case. The ESPN "experts" during the Tigers/Angels game were saying that with Beltre out at least two weeks the Rangers have to go get someone to play third if they think they can compete.

All I could do is.

First, he's out for 10 days. Second, you don't make a move and give up pieces for a third baseman who's only going to be marginally better than Rosales for ten days.

It would be a good time in the sense that the team is rolling and I think he would fit right in and start knocking guys in, but what happens when AB comes back? There's nowhere for Gallo to play.

Veteran pitchers will take advantage of his high K rate. He'll knock some guys in, but he'll k twice a game too. Not to mention the headache it would cause on the 40 man roster. No thanks. Leave him right where he is, and let him keep rolling with his development.
