I'm watching the local news.... It is so surreal to see a huge line outside of the gates that are waiting to burst into PNC. The atmosphere is going to be nuts.

I just hope the bulk of these folks have been fans since 1992. I just don't know anyone who likes and respects a fan that only comes out of the woodwork when the team is winning.

I'm sure a ton of them weren't even alive then..

I could now see why some people would stay away. I just read that the average ticket price for the Division Series is expected to be 532 percent higher than the average price for a ticket in the regular season, rising from $51 to $322.

Ouch man. Ouch.

Crazy, isn't it. PNC will still be packed if we make it that far.

It is crazy, and, I hate it. However, people will pay, so, teams will charge......

To get a more full picture of the issue, here is a link to the story I pulled my info from.

It isn't surprising... Unlike the NFL where you only have 8 home games, reg seasib tix NEED to be lower in a small market town like Pittsburgh over the span of 82 home games or the place will never pack full. I'll give the Pirates credit, they have kept the reg season prices down.

BTW... Loving the game being on TBS.. Revenge on Ted Turner!!!

I'm nervous too.

I remember watching that game in 92, I was in my apartment with like 8 other people drunk as hell.

Game over I tossed the crappy 19inch tv in the fireplace :D

Come on Liriano, this isnt the time for a clunker.

I myself do not see the above as a small market/big market thing. I see it as a loyal fanbase thing. I do get and understand supply & demand on NFL vs. MLB tickets, but, I don't see the selling of tickets as a market issue.

That is pretty funny. Still, I wonder if he still cares about baseball now at all?

Should they have used Grilli there in the non save situation?
