There may be a new, alternative treatment for people suffering from winter colds – large amounts of beer.

The amount of humulone in beer is so small that a person would have to drink 12 ounces – or about 30 cans – of beer in order to get its protective effect.

Maybe you could getaway with a 6 pack of a good heavy barleywine or an IIPA. Or maybe just a 24 pack of a pre-prohibition style lager. There are any number of scenarios in between as well.
