Why does it seem like most teams are always building for the future, while not caring to win today in the present?

You've been educated on this a number of times, but probably can't remember. The jewish commissioner put his sex slave bryan colangelo in charge of the sixers to torpedo their rise to the top.
Um...do what now?

MCW was an exceptional piece of asset work. He was almost outside of the top ten. He was traded for a first and a swap. Ironically, that resulted in the Sixers getting the 3rd pick the Fultz year and Colangelo fucked up that pick. I’ll give ya Okafor over Porzingas though. Bridges trade is still on Adam Silver and the Colangelo Clan because Burner Gate had just concluded, Colangelo was fired and the Sixers had Brett Brown and an inexperienced promoted before he was ready Elton Brand running the front office. Years later, Elton is a GM in name only. Morey runs the show. Bridges trade is on Adam Silver’s fuckery as well.

When will Silver clean house in the Pistons front office? They’re arguably worse than a Hincke team.

Teams miss on draft picks all the time. Multiples in succession really hurt, as does a front office in flux.

Really hurts when the league steps in and fires your GM and makes you name their hand picked guy to run the front office. Unprecedented level of fuckery.

I'd reframe it like this: Some teams never stop building for the future, some are just winning more and do a better job drafting proactively than others. That's maybe not the answer for the perpetually mid teams like the Vikings want to hear, but it's true, imo. Tanking isn't necessarily the answer, especially with how iffy we are with QB prospect evaluation.

The Chiefs have done that very well (and also reactively Ala their OL) when they've had to do it. Probably the most obvious example is with Mahomes. They do a lot of things at a mediocre level, but their draft process is good mostly which minimizes some of the bigger fuckups they have. Also, Mahomes exists and breaks a lot of rules.

If the Chiefs had an average QB this year, I earnestly think they'd be well below .500. If they had a bad QB, they'd just be the Midwest Jets.

Colangelo was talking shit on Embiid on twitter with fake accounts. He was sent to the Sixers to ruin them in all ways as much as he could. Who knows what else he was doing behind the scenes? Recommending training staff that would cause more injuries? Fucking with the food? Depleting the scouting department? Promoting the worse people? Firing the good ones? We don't know what he did we only can see that his intent was to cause harm to the organization.

It's beyond fucked up and the Owner let it happen because he in his own right is a leon black level scumbag, but that is a different story.
