I actually knew he pitched well last year, but point remains. Meh.

Reports saying its us and the Nats really closing in on Donaldson.

Aka hes gonna be a Nat and the Twins "tried really hard".

Not sure i'm interested in bringing in Donaldson if it's more than 3 years.

We all know we aint getting pitching. We are cowards.

Sox just got Keuchel.

Adding Donaldson would be a nice counter to the lefty starters they keep adding.

Keuchel's velocity is down, he's a slightly above average starter and Gonzalez has a 50/50 shot to even finish the season with the Sox.

I am not worried about the White Sox, i'm concerned with the playoffs, I still think the division is ours to lose but if we don't add any starting pitching then we might as well start looking forward to 2021.

Donaldson would be a great add but if we only get one big signing for the next 3 or 4 years I don't want it to be him.

Thats the issue though. There really are not any other big signings out there pitching was now.

We should snag Donaldson. Dangle an offer to Ryu. Otherwise it's really time to look at trade options. I'd still like us to get a legit lefty reliever in some form as well.

Per usual

Its Donaldson or bust. Just outslug our shitty division.

If he was going to pick the Twins he would already be signed, he was offered a four year deal. The Nats offered him a four year deal as well, I think he's waiting for Atlanta to match or who knows maybe there's another team in the mix that we don't know about.

He's clearly waiting for Atlanta. He doesnt want to leave. But if they wont offer 4 hes gonna have to choose.

Question...

How do you as the Owner or GM spin it to the fans that even though we were completely annihilated in the playoffs last year, we are gonna roll with the same team minus a couple guys, we are going to do absolutely nothing to get better. How is that done? I mean the odds are good that half the team has a career year again right?

Atlanta thinks they can win now, they won't let him get away.

Meanwhile it looks like the Sox will add either Encarnocion or Castellanos as a final addition to try and compete.

Do you think they really care what the fans think?

Win or lose, fans still go to games and still buy merchandise...maybe not as much as if they were winning, but enough so they continue to make money.

Make sure you add this one to your notes! I hate being this good!!

Unfortunately situations like these don't make my notes.

I said to my buddies a few weeks ago the same thing. I'd rather be wrong.

But hey, we also got Rich Hill. I think hes expected out longer than Pineda. And thats before his blisters come back.
