really would like to see them hold stamkos in check.

I'm not sure if his game has changed but I remember a few years back the Devils roughed up Stamkos very early on in the game and he was a complete non factor after that. I think he can be neutralized if you get in his head (kinda like Malkin).

Going to need a serious defensive effort tonight. Tampa is a younger team so maybe the Devils can frustrate them. CAN'T TAKE SO MANY DAMN PENALTIES. Would feel better with JJ in tonight instead of TooToo.

Not a big JJ believer but agree about the penalties.

It's the 4th line so who cares but is Ruutu-Gionta-Tootoo our best option there? They may not be as responsible defensively but would you prefer a line of Ruutu-JJ-Brunner? A mix of both of those lines?

I actually like them for a 4th line. I see JJ or Brunner as fill ins on the top 3 lines if needed. Of course if we have a long term need on one of the top 3 lines I'd rather see Boucher or Matteau brought up

Way, way too many turnovers in our own end. Bad turnovers, nobody on them, rushed/nervous type turnovers. Settle it down out there.

Both G have been sharp game could easily have 4 or 5 goals between the two teams so far

Merrill in particular needs to be smarter with the puck. A lot of carelessness out there, Schneider keeping things close. Luckily Tampa Bay also seems to be out of sync as well.
