Arizona sport reporters piss me off sometimes.. I watch most of CTG press conferences and never can the questions be about UCLA.. It's Weds and these clowns are asking why the Offense struggled two weeks ago.. Ask, do you think you have any advantages on offense this week? How has the offense practiced? How do you feel the offenses mentality is heading into this game? Not, why has the offense struggled the last two weeks.. These guys haven't listened to one word Graham has said.. We are focused on winning a championship this week. Speak some victory media.

Haller is the only good one at interviewing. Wait for his weekly blog video, I wish he got more one on one time with Graham.

UCLA's front 7 is solid, Anthony Bar is a great football player, and all LBs have talent. They have a lot of speed but we need to just do what we do. Use tempo, establish the run, and when they do blitz use it against them.

-Taylor Kelly

Would love to see more screens! Use Nelson and catch everyone of guard.

Lots of perimeter stuff to slow down the outside pass rushers. DJ and Strong will be involved a lot. :suds:

UCLA is good but young.. Especially their secondary.. If Mora leaves them on an island against Strong he's going to have problems.. Would like to get Cam Smith involved more on the deep ball. Ric Smith is too short to go up and battle for those as evidenced in the OSU game. ASU is 2.5 point favorites on the road. Mistake free football wins this game. Let's go show Jack, Hundley, Willis, & Co. Why ASU was the better choice.

Who is the UCLA guy that they play on both ends? He is that 'versatile' guy? We need to watch out for him. He is like the Patrick Peterson of the baby blues.

The last time both teams were ranked going into the game was 1986. Let's hope for the same result.

Jack has yet to face a good defensive line. We'll see what he's made of on Saturday. The gameplan should be to try to tire him out because he's probably their best LB besides Barr. He might play 100+ snaps.

Depends on how Kelly plays. You wanna be like Jake the snake? Prove it. Be as clutch as he was.

No long drop backs. Quick 5-10 yard pass. Plenty of stuff on the perimeter as well. UCLAs defense is looking weaker and weaker each weak play like were managing the game.

Norvell needs to roll him out of the pocket more. That's where he's at his best.

General Matchup:

ASU Scoring Offense vs UCLA Scoring Defense

9th vs. 40th

UCLA Scoring Offense vs ASU Scoring Defense

23rd vs 45th

Interesting Keys to the Victory:

ASU vs. UCLA Penalties:

4th vs 122nd Boom!

ASU vs UCLA Turnover Margin

T-10 vs 22nd Boom!

ASU vs UCLA Sacks

28th vs 69th Boom!

ASU vs. UCLA TFL

31st vs 70th Boom!

ASU vs UCLA TFL Allowed

84nd vs 104th Boom!

Concerns

ASU vs UCLA Sacks Allowed

99th vs 82nd

Takeaway:

ASU's strengths are UCLA's weaknesses. With their young Oline, ASU's 28th and 31st ranked Sack and TFL attack should neaturalize Hundley's 82nd and 104th ranked Sacks Allowed and TFL Allowed insurance. If this game is close, it'll come down to penalties and TO's. Both of which ASU has the edge. If expect to win this game and control Hundley's mobility.

WhoDat's Keys to the game:

Creative pressure on Oline and Hundley.
Force TO's anyway you can.
Just run the offense.

Graham > Mora Jr.
Norvell > Mazzone
Grice > Jack
Sutton > Barr
Strong > Evans/Fuller

Hudley > Kelly (but barely)

As talented as UCLA is, ASU can argue that they're just as talented if not more. Fear the Devil.

Sutton will play the entire game.. Graham will be rotating in Conway, Coleman, Hood, and Hardison. Bradford good to go and will get the start.

If you recall, Randall Goforth committed to the Sun Devils a few years back and later made the switch to UCLA in the 11th hour. He's their best option right now in the secondary and likely will be covering Strong. Would love to see him run over all night long. Maybe even have Smith (his former teammate) catch a TD on him.

IF ASU wins today and beats Arizona next week, ASU will host the Pac12 Championship.
