Heres one:

Either the only or one of the only players to play in four decades.
Annoying as hell-rarely stopped talking, while his best friend and teammate refused to talk.
2 time all star, but played many years in a part time role.
Played on 4 teams but is most well known for the two he spent the most time on.
Played in 3 World Series and 3 League Championship Series.
Once turned a would-be grand slam into a three run single by accidentally passing a runner on the basepaths.

Too easy. Tim McCarver

  • One of three players to hit exactly 521 home runs
  • Played exclusively for teams on the West Coast
  • In his major league debut, he went 4-4 against Robin Roberts
  • He won the 1959 NL ROY and 1969 NL MVP

Damn. I shouldn't have said the 521 home run part

Yeah that helped.

Ok. played 1968-81. Played for 6 or 7 teams but is mostly associated with the one he started with and played the longest.
Great Leadoff hitter, but still had lots of Homeruns and Strikeouts.
Scored over 100 runs 5 straight years and had 461 stolen bases in his career.

Also, I gotta go for now but I'll throw this one out there for later

-Great left handed platoon hitter from the 1970's and early 80's
-played on a few teams but only made the postseason in 1976 and 1980-81 with the Yankees.
-Primarily Outfielder and Dh. No all star teams but finished with .356 OBP and .811 OPS
- had the greatest afro in the history of major league baseball
- also known for the quote "they don't think it be like it is, but it do"

It's not Maury Wills. I can picture who the guy is (or at least who I think it is) but I can't produce his fucking name. If it's the guy I'm thinking of, I'm almost positive he played for the Cubs and Cardinals (not Banks or Ozzie Smith). Maybe it will come to me before you get back. Or maybe it's not even the right guy.

I have no fucking clue on the Yankees player

Nope, this guy had more power than Wills--but he did play a lot on the West Coast. They invented the term 30-30 club when he was playing because he was always a threat to get 30 hrs and 30 steals. He did it 5 or 6 times but never quite made 40-40
