I'm not sure if that makes sense. If you actually want him because you think he can help you win in half a season this year shouldn't he be good enough to last one more year? (I guess in a case where the team looking at Rollins because their SS is injured and they expect him to come back next year it would be tough to take him but if you are trying to upgrade a weak position I'd think you could roll with him for one more season).

So you're saying we're not getting Giancarlo Stanton now?

Marcus Stroman would be interesting, but I am not sure if they would be willing to part with him for a three month rental. Still, Lawrie has struggled this year, and they're right in the hunt in the AL East. Daniel Norris would be another piece possibly involved in a trade.

I agree- I'm just saying what they said. They were specifically talking about Detroit, who have Suarez and Iglesias possibly playing next year.
