You can also lose without getting a chance to possess the ball. You can literally win without running a play from scrimmage.You can literally not gain a single yard in college OT and still put points on the board.
At least in the NFL, you have to pickup several first downs to even get into fg range

Agree more exciting. And I sure as hell don't like seeing games end in ties like the NFLYour joking right?? That was fucking awesome...and more importantly we have a winner and a loser.

I have 2 problems with the NFL OT rules.
1) The ties
2) If a team scores a TD on the opening possession then I think the opponent should get a chance to tie the game.
Outside of that, I'm good with it. Beats having both teams start at their opponents 25 yard line.
As I said a few minutes ago, CFB OT wouldn't bother me much if drives started at mid field. At least in that case, you're required to get 1 or 2 first downs to get into fg range
