You can literally not gain a single yard in college OT and still put points on the board.

At least in the NFL, you have to pickup several first downs to even get into fg range

You can also lose without getting a chance to possess the ball. You can literally win without running a play from scrimmage.

I have 2 problems with the NFL OT rules.

1) The ties

2) If a team scores a TD on the opening possession then I think the opponent should get a chance to tie the game.

Outside of that, I'm good with it. Beats having both teams start at their opponents 25 yard line.

As I said a few minutes ago, CFB OT wouldn't bother me much if drives started at mid field. At least in that case, you're required to get 1 or 2 first downs to get into fg range

That bitch @4down20 out here handing BS ratings because I have a different opinion?

Grow the fuck up

I'm just flipping a coin on if the post deserves it or not. Good enough for you and the NFL, good enough for the rating.

And the rules are skewed towards teams who score etc.

It's just terrible.

And as you can see from my post below, that is one of the problems I have with it. As I said, NFL OT rules are not perfect but IMO it is better

They are put in scoring range so that they end faster. Better than multiple hours of 2 defensive teams who can never score a TD.
