Game Thread: Chuggers @ Broncos

Hope the defense can put on a strong performance tonight. I hope Nacho is a full go tonight. I don't think I can handle much more Omar Bolden back there.....ugh. Chuggers always seem to play us tough at home too, so I hope we're fired up and ready to go

What do you guys think the chances are that Manning ties or breaks the passing touchdown record tonight? Since it's the last home game of the season, I could see the Broncos maybe trying a little extra hard to get him the record tonight, and the Chargers don't have a very good defense. Plus their offense is pretty good, so I could see this game turning into a shootout which would increase the chances of him getting there.

I'll say there's a 50% chance he ties the record tonight, and a 30% chance he breaks it.

Well, if he throws 5-6 TD's tonight then I'd say there's a 98% chance we'll win the game. Sounds good to me

Let's see he needs 5 to tie right and 6 to break it? I would say he stands a very good chance tonight of tying it. Plus with the Broncos having 10 days before the next game I could see this being viewed as almost a "Hey we have a bye week essentially coming up so Peyton can push a little harder than maybe on a normal week since he will have some time to recover."


As much as I want the offense to just blow out the Chargers tonight I am just hoping we can see a good performance by our defense. I already know what this offense can do just need to see this defense live up to the potential of the talent that is on this team. I'm hoping they actually stick DRC on Keenan Allen and make somebody else on that Charger offense actually have to beat us. The guy is lighting it up and the NFL Network people were saying the Broncos have no one who could cover him one on one. I think DRC when healthy can cover anybody not named Calvin Johnson in this league.

Hyperbole in the media again. They give Allen too much credit I think, and forget he only had 41 yards in SD against the Broncos.

Personally, I'd like to see decent defense AND a blowout. 56-10 territory. Probably won't happen, but would be nice to watch.

Got to love that the media doesn't usually check facts and hopes that the common fan will just ignore the fact that they don't.

Yes I would rather see a decent defense AND blowout. I was doing one of those commercials where you only have one OR the other.

I agree that the defense looks bad. I may elaborate later, but I am willing to see how they adjust in the second half. Offensively, this is still the same team that was down 21-7 to the Chiefs in KC. I'm sure they will make some improvements in the second half on that side of the ball.

I agree its not over by a long shot but Id like to see improvement week to week on the defense and its just not happening so far. Hopefully the 2nd half they get it together.

I'll give you that. I was confident that the defense would be hitting its stride by now. It just has not come together on that side of the ball. The thing is they have some good talent on defense, it just is not materializing into good play. But the fact they have good talent is an improvement over the futility that was the 2010 defense!

It's looking a lot like 2007. Or 2008. Or 2010. Take your pick. They all sucked. This defense is looking pretty sad tonight.
