UA Athletics just posted some really good highlights from the CU game. Normally they only post vids from homegames, but I guess this trip they had some cameramen travel with the team. It's cool to see the baseline perspectives on some of the plays, gives you a better perspective when you are closer to the action.

Always so great to see the starters turn into the gumby squad. :yahoo:

Granted, losing to both Utah and Colorado isn't ideal, but as much as it pains me to say it... asu is not in the NIT yet. Colorado has an RPI of 26 and Utah is 92 and the NCAA selection committee considers "bad" losses as those to teams with 100+ RPIs.

With 4 games left, plus the tourney, if they get 3+ more wins they are in.

I want to lose out and lose Herb. I am fucking done.

Well, his contract goes through the 2016 season. So they would have to buy him out for 2 years. That's some change, I think he makes 1.2m per year. And with Carson, Bach, Marshall, and McKissic all leaving, they lose like 75% of their scoring, 65% of their rebounding, and like 60% of their assists. That's particularly rough when you have no one coming in. I think they will just let him stay and try to bring in more talent before getting anyone else, just to make the position more attractive (in terms of not bringing some one in to absolutely nothing). I really think next year will be another 20 loss year in Tempe. This is the only good year (possibly getting to the tourney) that ASU will have for some time (+/- 5 years, IMO, depending on who they get).

My god I didn't even stop and think about how bad it's going to be next year. That's fucking awesome, I can't wait to avenge this year's loss by smoking them in their house by 30 next year.

Arizona's overall record this year has been impressive, but their record on the road is off the charts. After the win against Colorado on Saturday, opponent's home record (excluding the game against the Cats) is a combined 109-14.

If you take out the only weak link USC (7-5), and the 2 losses, Arizona has wins over SDSU, Michigan, UCLA, Stanford, Utah and Colorado who have a combined 75-5 record in their own buildings.

The UofA has handed these teams more home losses (6) than all other teams combined (5).

You guys here about the potential for Zona to play a home basketball game in the football stadium next season?

Apparently the talks were preliminary, involving a UNM home and home. The UNM coach let it out of the bag yesterday and Byrne got pissed. He just tweeted that if it does happen, it will be with a different team. UNM screwed that one up.

Good stuff GS. I've been hearing a lot of chatter about us being the number 1 over all seed after our sweep this weekend. I'm happy to hear that people have taken notice of our body of work this season, especially on the road! Just the other night when we played Utah I got into basketball debate with an ASU fan at the bar. He was poking fun at us for struggling against Utah but when I asked him what was utahs home record, he had no clue. I'm guessing after CU and Utah swept ASU he probably has more respect for that road trip now lol.

With only two loses this season, I couldn't be more pleased with our resume headed into March. I could care less if we're number 1 overall but I'm pleased to see that our body of work is being recognized.

A basketball game at 1 then a football game at night. Sounds like a plan to me.

ESPN posted a story about Nick Johnson and his relationship with his Dad and his brother Chris. It's written by Dana O'Neil... worth a read, anyway.

It looks like GA Tech and ND will finish on time if there is no OT.
