I'm wondering if I still have my DJax #10 jersey laying around...

I may have tossed it when he went to the Skins

I have this precious pic of some of my grandkids wearing DJAX's, and will keep it until I die!

That is the same exact D Jackson jersey I have in my closet. I cannot wait to wear it again.

My son and I are really excited to have him back! He should have been been released.

Word is that Aggie is staying put without an extension at the 9.3 mil number. A bit surprising, but looks like the Eagles are set at WR with Alshon and DJax on the outside with Aggie and Hollins working the slot. They will likely draft an outside guy to groom ... possibly with one of our 2 2nd round picks.

I’ve seen that rumbling too. But I just can’t see reality being Nelly at that number this year. Only case I can see for that is they still don’t know if they fully want to commit to a future with him. Or it’s all a smoke screen for trade talks.

Short of that I have to believe if we are keeping him there is solid talk about extending 2-3 years at a modest enough rate. That’s just an insane amount of money at WR.

But, damnit, in Howie I trust.

They are in a bit of a catch-22 with Agholor - the team does not think he is worth the number he is carrying, but also think he is too young and talented to just release him and perhaps go somewhere else and light it up.

He goes back to the slot (where he's best), has one more year to prove if he is worth a long-term deal or not. At least now with DJAX in the fold they can keep him in the slot where he seems to be most effective, and not dabbling with him outside where he has clearly struggled to play with any consistency.

This situation has really come into focus for me today. The Eagles really are in a tough spot. Can't easily just release him, because he is worth more than just to walk. Plus, you fuck up the compensatory formulas (same reason they gave a late pick for D-Jax, instead of waiting for the inevitable release).

A mid round (or later comp pick) is not worth $9M of course. But there is more. Nelly has proven decent things the last two years, and might still have more to show. Ultimately, I think he is a slot receiver and his next pay day (at least from us) should be commiserate with that. Not sure that is possible.....but it couldn't hurt more than to carry this big year salary to get him for one more year, running the slot with Alshon and D-Jax on the ends.

I have seen more than one mention of Hollins to the Slot. Anyone else have thoughts on that? I've seen him in limited reps the last two years....but did not see him as a Slot/possession guy. I guess him in the slot matching a LB/S/Nickel CB and jetting out deep from the Slot could be interesting.

If they don't keep Aggy, I guess they will draft a slot receiver early. I would draft 2 receivers if Aggy goes, as we have an age issue with DJAX and Alshon. Plan ahead.

I can see receiver being the pick one way or the other with one of our first 3 picks. Aggy's on the one year deal, DJax probably 2 years and Alshon while a good receiver is getting paid fairly high. He's set to count at 16 mil against the cap in 2020 at 30 years of age. If cut in 2020 it would be a cap savings of 10 mil.

I still like Isabella with one of our first 3 picks - I think he's going to be a stud and would be our slot solution long-term.

$16 mln for Jeffrey is reasonable for us in light of some of the deals out there.

While I'm an Alshon fan, he has not broken 850 yards in a season any of the past 4 seasons. He's scheduled to be the 5th highest paid WR in the league in 2020.

Then we should draft another big WR. Miles Boykins in the 4th?

He also has barely half the targets the top receivers have. So if we were to extrapolate....

after we go with Isabella in Rd 2? Sure :)

That would be ideal to me. Wilkins in the first, Jacobs and Isabella in the 2nd, and Boykins in the 4th, followed by a G, T, and LB. Done.
