Based on the coverage of this on NFLNetwork, one would think Dez Bryant played 16 games a season against the Redskins. Since those are the only highlights they are showing of him as they cover this.

I stand against such a move for our team. Here's why:

1. It would literally take almost, if not all, of our remaining cap monies to sign him.

2. Where would he play? there has been an investment in Doctson and taking snaps away from him seems counterintuitive to his further development.

3. I simply don't trust him, he's a Cowboy through and through, he has emotional ties to that organization that cannot be exorcised with a check, holy water, or change of colors.

4. Finally, we don't know what he has left, and, don't want to be the proving ground on which we get to determine what that happens to be. Bryant was very, very, good with Romo at QB, not so much with Prescott. Alex Smith is neither of those guys but hasn't proven himself in our colors either. Adding one unknown to another is just too much risk for this team to take especially when we have no run game to rely on, if either or both fail.

To your third point, Jackson was a good player for us, but you could tell he left his heart in Philly. Not to insinuate he didn't play hard, but you could just tell if he had his way he would have loved to have still been in Philly.

If Dez has a 50% catch rate what is Doctson? a 30%?

Lots of excuses are made for Doctson for whatever reason. Dez would be an upgrade on him right now IMO

35 catches on 78 targets = 44.8%

Dez is already tweating about wanting to play Dallas twice a year. Doing the math, no way NYG wants him when they already have a more talented version in Beckham. No way Philly wants him - potentially risking the chemistry they have. That leaves one NFC East team... and Warshington is lacking a tough veteran prime WR.

I believe the Redskins are the only team in the NFC East that can afford him the Eagles can't and the Giants have the Odell Beckham Contract situation

Give him the same contract we gave Pryor last year and see what happens.

You don't care about winning if you don't want dez

I honestly don’t care about winning this season. At best, we will win 8 games. We set our future back with that Alex Smith trade, accept that and move on. To build a SB contender, we will need at least another three years, minimum. In three years, Dez will be 32. If he is already in decline, do you believe three years will make him better?

Where does three years put us? Where will our best players be?

Trent Williams- will be 32. Expect a huge drop by this point.
Jordan Reed- with his history, he won’t be in the league
Josh Norman- will be 33 and likely won’t be here
Ryan Kerrigan- will be 32. Expect a huge drop by then.
Zach Brown- will be 31. Can’t cover now...won’t be able to cover then.

Brandon Scherff- will still be a stud
Morgan Moses- hopefully will still be OK
Preston Smith- I am a fan...let’s hope he stays solid and improves
Jonathan Allen- stud
DJ Swearinger- will still be solid
Jamison Crowder- solid
Chris Thompson- I expect injury but could still be solid in three years

Josh Doctson- let us hope he improves and lives up to draft potential so we can consider him good
Matt Ionadis- let us hope he can continue his improvement

We are hurting for talent buddy. Dez won’t change that.
