Assuming it is good beer, draught is always the best option... If they only have yellow beer on tap, then a bottle of real beer would be preferred... If someone handed me a can, I would drink it - but only becasue I like free stuff... Good tasting beer is not really offered in cans...

And, why is this the first post to spell it: d-r-a-u-g-h-t ??

Dale's is the shit. I even like that Porkslap, even though everyone else hates it.

Anybody else remember those Keystone commercials where they talked about the "Specially lined can" that made the beer taste like it was from a bottle?

"Yeah...but it's still Keystone!"

I can see why you need more if you are drinking Bud...

Most of the time I drink liquor, but when I drink beer, I drink beer. All night. My current record for one night is 34. I never just have a few beers.

Don't be daft; pick "draft"!

Draft beer from a good micro brewery is like a party in your mouth, and everyone's invited!

Bottles are good for when you're at home, crying in the showe-I mean, watching the game...

Cans are good for when you are drinking in public because they can be disguised as soda cans with only minimal amounts of tomfoolery.

Plus you can't shotgun a bottle of beer.

You can't make a toy airplane with working propellers out of empty beer bottles. Using bottles for target practice makes a big mess. You can't crush a bottle on your forehead.

And basically there's only 3 beers anybody needs to know about.

Budweiser
Natural Light
Icehouse

I'm with ya on the Nachurral Light, but Reg'lar bud gimme the headache and Icehouse was banned in New York about ten years ago.

Nah, I'm just kidding, if it's free I'm drinkin it

also, beer from a can does not taste like metal, or whatever that line is. if you're getting a metallic taste when drinking from a can, quit licking the can

Bottles, go any where but generally better than cans.

In a bar if they have a draft I like and a bottle I like a lot I take draft all day.

Canss are for shotgunning at tailgates and have their rightful place in the discussion I just dont get to go tailgating anymore.

Bottled beer tends to give you the most crisp tasting beer. Drafts will be flatter and have a tendency to put me in the sleepy drunk mode.

Yup ! A cold and wet bottle of beer pulled out of a cooler full of approximately 50%ice and 50% ice water is a little slice of heaven.

Cask-->Keg-->Bottle-->Can

Each option has upsides and downsides, and each can result in a really good beer. Can technology has improved to the point that craft beer industry leaders like Jim Koch prefer properly lined cans to bottles. For one thing, cans don't let in light, which is the enemy of good beer.

Selected bottles and draft. Beer out of cans just doesn't taste quite as good as beer out of the draft or in a bottle.
