Time to bring in some new blood. Boomer will keep his job at WFAN, so those who like him can continue listening to him on the radio or catch his Boomer & Gio show on the CBS cable sports network. Have no idea what future plans Simms has.

I love the addition of Matt Ryan to the NFL Today, he’ll be a great fit. Simms was a very low energy boring commentator, I was fine with Boomer though. I wish they would get rid of Nate Burleson, he tries way too hard to look “cool” much of the time and it’s just cringeworthy.

Matt Ryan did very good last year as an announcer - did you listen to him at all? Simms was one of the dullest commentators on tv.

Yeah I remember not liking his input but I cant remember what it was from.

But he is new too. Maybe he will grow into the role. Simms had 20 some years to and he never did.

I wouldn't say Aikman was a 'mistake' but he was a very overrated QB and still is today. Put him on a non-major market team and he never would be a hall of famer. He got the Namath treatment.

A lot of QBs would've had success with that Cowboys team and coaching staff until Jerry went full moron and fired Johnson.
