Did anyone even know Ben-Hur was being remade?

'Ben-Hur' Crashes Chariot With $11.4M Opening; 'Suicide Squad' Still No. 1

Yea, I didn't even know it was being remade. First I heard of it, was a week before it came out. Only 11M on opening weekend is a VERY bad sign for a movie that reportedly cost 100M to make.

Didn't hear about it until I saw this. Guess that explains the article the other day that said Ben-Hur was gay, but they kept it from Heston.
