Bears are signing Ray McDonald and Jarvis Jenkins.
Any take on McDonald's legal problems? I've been a big supporter of Pace and applauded his choice to trade Marshall... but this just seems very hypocritical, to sign a guy with domestic abuse/r*pe allegations still pending.
(McDonald has since sued the women for slander... so ???)
Both Fangio and Donatel vouched for him and I guess he even flew in to talk with George.
I'm assuming it's a VERY team friendly deal.
Just question it a little.
Thoughts?

I'm all for giving the guy the benefit of the doubt and if he can help the Bears I'm all for it.
To have this happen to a guy already on the team, and support him through it- believing he's a good guy and good teammate is one thing.
To bring in a guy in the middle of it just gives me a pause. Hope it works out.
Bears were in need of 5-Tech guys, we picked up 2, one is a rotational guy good at stopping the run, the other has higher potential, but has the legal issues looming. As far as the draft goes, everything ranked high in the draft is OLB or the 1 DT. No DE until a later first round pick early second round as he grades out. That's my take.
Maybe Ive missed something, but I dont see any legit zero tech guys on the roster. I know Fangio has favored undersized NT's...but he doesnt quite( yet?) have the outstanding LB play he did in SF. I dont know if he has that luxury here in Chicago.
Thoughts?
Just found an article on ESPN.com that acknowledged the Bears signed Mason Foster. They now have solid FA acquisitions at ILB and OLB... What they desperately need.

Yup, what Cubzzz said, Ratliff and Ego are your NT as of this moment. OLB, we have a plethora of at the moment. In fact, too many. Bass, Houston, McPhee, Allen, Bostic, McClellin, Young... That's 7 to man 2 spots, and three of them are fairly expensive, and therefore end up keepers. I don't know what the Bears do in the draft, but I'm glad we picked up two 5 tech's because we really didn't have any.
I really think Bostic is gonna stay inside.
