It's crazy how they compare so much of this game to last year. We are so much better, and they lost Franklin. Not even close. I was surprised to see absolutely everyone pick SDSU, until the very end. So much wishful thinking, I feel sorry for the dose of reality that is set to smack them in the face!

Joining the convo this season, looks like a good board.

Greetings guys. Bear Down. My thoughts so far:

I really like where the Cats are early on. McConnell makes all the difference when it comes to establishing offensive roles. We'll be a well-oiled machine come March as long as we stay healthy.

The defense looks sharp but is anyone else concerned about Zeus? He looks like he's regressing. We're at our best with our "small" lineup and Zeus on the bench. He looks slow on D and timid still on O.

I'd really like to snap out of this free throw shooting funk. We'll miss Lyons mostly for that, especially in tight games down the stretch. Gordon, as many games as he'll win for us, might be a liability at the line in the tight ones.

This SDSU game will show exactly how much composure our squad has this year. I'm really confident with our leaderships though. Thought we'd miss Solo more for that aspect, but NJ, TJ, and AG look fearless and ready to assume leadership roles.

One more thought: It'll be strange to see Chol at the end of the bench for the Aztecs.

The free throws problems are so unfamiliar to AZ fans, I can't even imagine it continuing. I have to believe that TJ snaps out of it, although it might be a mainstay for AG.

I think that Zeus is another weapon. If we need him to be big against a tall lineup, then we have him. Against smaller lineups, we can go with BA at the 5. But centers take a while to develop, it's such a process for them to play to their height, especially the 7 footers. Very rarely will they shine in their first two years. I just think that too much hype was placed on him last year. I just like the fact that we have a player for every situation, against every team.

So pissed Chol left. We'd be money with him backing up Zeus this year!!! And I don't even want to talk about Jerrett, he broke my heart.
