varvaro came into the game in the 7th, missing high. cesar takes a strike, then looks at 4 straight balls for the walk. rollins gets ahead 3-1.. and what does he do? hacks away. jimmy fucking pop. and of course, varvaro misses high. so not only does he swing at ball 4, but he didn't look for that high pitch. fucking turd.

that's the type of shit that always cost us throughout the year. he takes the walk, then maybe utley bunts. now you have 2nd and 3rd, 1 out, with ruf up. instead utley GIDP and the inning is over.

yeah, more stupid than greedy. Also, I realize at this point he is not a leadoff hitter, but I think hitting him 2nd is worse because of all his stupid popups. Hopefully next year he will be hitting deeper in the lineup, like maybe 7th.
