I prefer to think the season is about finding the best teams in the country, not the best team in each conference and even then, 9 game schedules fuck that up.
If you're going to add two more members to an already 12 member conference member than add another game in order to play your own conference members. No need to make it complicated.
I did my basic training in NJ ... Ft. Dix. The humidity there was enough to kill a horse. I don't know how those people do it.
It would would provide for the conference championship games to have the best two teams more often than not which is more important than making sure Arkansas plays Kentucky more.

I agree that the cross division rivalry game is stupid. Which is why I want to get rid of it. My method does that and allows for legitimate rivalries to stay. You get the best CCGs, more opportunity for high quality non-Conference games which would have to include home and homes because you can’t have 40-50 neutral site games every year.
