There can’t be a rule unless they are counting Colorado st as a P5 team. See Arkansas OOC schedule the next two years.

We had a home and home scheduled with Michigan but they backed out late so we got a waiver to play Colorado State the next two years since we didn't have many options left

There is nothing to defend. The only thing there is to do is to taunt and make fun of the people who have to hang on such bullshit because you can't get it done on the field.

If you think it's a big deal, then schedule easier(except you play in the Big12 so it's already easy).

But keep on posting like you don't play Kansas every year.
