Technically yes, Denver winning the division helps us since they ALREADY have the tiebreaker; however, we can still get in even if Oakland wins the division.

Yes, if we win out we're in. There's almost no chance both us and th eJets win out...which is why only 7 10-6 teams since 1990 have missed the playoffs. It just doesn't happen.

No, the only reason only 7 10-6 teams have missed the playoffs since 1990 is because there are rarely ever THREE WC hopefuls heading into Week 16 that still even have the opportunity to finish 10-6 or better. It just never happens. This is one of those rare years.

Ravens win today (down 7-17 at the half), Pittsburgh loss tomorrow against the 49ers, and a NE loss next week against Miami (along with a Ravens win next week against Cle) would give the Ravens nothing to play for Week 17...assuming my math is correct.

Yes, it is a reach...

FINAL WILDCARD

Broncos: 8-6 (Denver wins the tie-breaker) (hold AFCW)
Jets: 8-6 (*Jets currently hold tie-breaker)

Bengals: 8-6
Raiders: 7-7 (**we currently hold tie-breaker but not in our hands)
San Diego: 7-7 (San Diego wins the tie-breaker due to common games)
Titans: 7-7 (we win the tie-breaker)

*No head-head games. Conference record is tied. Jets win the common games tie-breaker. Only way we win this tie-breaker is if Jets lose to Miami and we beat Baltimore in Week 17. Jets have NY and @Miami remaining.

**No head-head games. Conference record is the next tie-breaker. We're at 6-5 and the Raiders are at 5-5. A tie here sends it to common games which the Raiders win. Oakland wins the tie-breaker with a win @KC and SD.

Here's the kicker:

If my math is right, a loss to the Cardinals next week along with a San Diego win against the Lions and an Oakland win against the Chiefs, the Bengals are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

Next week is a must win!

No matter what the other teams do, we need to win out to have any chance, mathematically or not.
