Non Conference games to be played in home state of ACC school. This means, unless Navy agrees to come to South Bend, they are off the schedule, and we then play Western Michigan or Arkansas. Wow.

Also, if we do have a season, ND will make more TV money than they normally would. Lmao.

Weird not to see NC State or Louisville on the schedule for Clemson

I think it's also weird they did nothing to make it geographically ideal. At least for ND. FSU was added as opposed to a team like UVA or VT.

Guess we gotta ban the ACC from the playoff too according to retards on here, since they are playing only 1 OOC game instead of the full slate.

ND's choices at this point are Arkansas, WMU and Navy. At least if they go according to what was previously on the schedule. Honestly Navy is probably the best out of that group, but none will move the needle if ND were to play/beat them.

Does the "must be in home state of school" apply to ND too? that causes some scrambling

I mean it’s a one team race.

I would assume so. Maybe the Navy game gets moved to a neutral site destination, like Philly or the New Meadowlands to meet that requirement of playing in an ACC home state. If not it's down to Arkansas/Western Michigan.

If the SEC moves to a similar model that means our game is definitely out.

Disappointed because I was looking forward to making the trip, but maybe we can replace it with a more winnable game. Though if the SEC goes to a 10-game schedule too then that's even worse

Sucks to be an Arkansas fan as far as scheduling goes. Michigan backs out of a home and home to play ND, and now the 2020 ND game is likely off. At least you should still get the return trip in a couple years.

Everything I wanted and more
  • Keep the ND game (Wish it was a normal year to take a trip there)
  • +1 OOC to hopefully keep alive the 112th consecutive year playing SC
  • The non-division is an interesting twist
  • And no Dave Dorean and NC State

I'm OK with it I guess. Not too keen to lose the annual UNC matchup, But we get NCSU, BC, and Louisville. I don't care about losing Garner Webb or Central Florida.

Just glad to be playing.

That Navy game started out in Ireland. Maybe they can row to South Bend.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if the SEC took a similar approach and did a 10+1 model. Those rivalry games could be played and that would mean Arkansas could come up to SB for that game.
