Yet those idiots are Brain France, Mike Helton, and Ryan Pemberton.

Somebody different for a change. David Ragan wins it and Almirola finished in the top 10. Almirola is moving up to 7th in the points. I'd like to see him score a win sometime.

Don't forget about Paul Menard in 8th :yahoo:

Menard's my driver so obviously I want to see him in the chase

I would like to see Almorila make it also

I take it back. Newman wasn't talking about Stenhouse. He was talking about NASCAR. Skip ahead to the :45 second mark for Newman's interview:

That was bullshit (NW too). NASCAR's got no business racing with it being that dark. It's a safety issue. But they don't give a damn. The show comes first, driver safety second

Stenhouse, go back to Nationwide, took out a bunch of cars trying to find 4 wide where only 3 fit. Took my drive Kurt Busch out + his girlfriend. Guess he didn't get any on Sunday night.

Stenhouse didn't help things in that wreck by any means but the other car came up and pinched him in the wall. He gave him 0 room. Not all stenhouse on that one

I agree. Saturday night under the lights. I love Darlington. I want our 2nd race back. Cali and Vegas suck yet they have 2 races. Nascar is run by some idiots here lately.

Auto Club has 1 race and Vegas has 1 race. Were you counting Sonoma as Cali's 2nd race?

Been to Vegas, Fontana and Phoenix this season. Phoenix is the only one with 2. All different tracks, Phoenix 1 mile, Las Vegas 1 1/2 mile and Auto Club 2 miles. No matter where you go, it is huge fun.

Yea, my mistake. I'm living in the past. Fontana used to have 2 races.

they ran plates in those too. The plates need to come off the cars and let them race.

That would be the most boring race you have ever seen. The speeds would be crazy fast , probably pushing 230 into the corners before they had to let off but they would space out and there would be no racing at that point. Before restrictor plates there would be races at Dega with 1 or 2 cars on the lead lap...

I know. It's not like it happened all the time, but at least it was racing. Plate racing is exciting for the fans, sure, but it's not racing. And I doubt you would get that in today's racing. Too much technology with too many multi car teams. Take the plates off.

Yeah, you can't really take mid 80's without plates to say it will be like that today without plates. Now there's what, 4 or 5 shops that supply most of the field with cars/engines? There's no way the pack would be as separated now as they were then.

I'm kinda with Mr. Tiger (I think). Pack plate racing is not real racing, it's more of a lottery. I think it's a joke that the sport's biggest race can be won by a 30th place driver, in a 35th place car... all because there was a caution with 10 to go and they got a good push from behind.

Daytona was getting good before the repave (I know, they had to repave because the track was coming apart) but if they could at least get Daytona (I'd settle for Talladega being the lottery it is today) to a point where handling comes into play, it would make a much better and more realistic race..in my opinion.

Daytona is still a bit of a handling track and it should start to come back to being good here soon. I still think no plates would bring super boring races. Think about how spaced out they get at Michigan and imagine that being worse. Sadly they will never do it for us to find out because the speeds will be wayyyy too high and the cars will want to come off the ground if they spin.
