A lot of players look good on D last night Bowman, Bethea, Lynch, Acker, Williams, Brock and Tartt. But did anyone notice if Armstead played? I didn't pay attention if he did anything if he came in or not.

He didn't play or if he did it was only a handful of snaps.

Mangini has this defense playing I wish they would of played the last 2-3 years. Put pressure on the QB. Blitz. This D looks faster. They were all over the field.

A lot of younger players on our defense. We can expect them to be faster this season.

Im still fired up. man what a game. I can't wait for sunday now. I think we have a real shot against Pitt. Pitt has a weak D and Bell isn't playing. Also Pitts Oline isn't great and we should be able to get after Big Ben.

I guess Hyde, Bush and Hayne were the only active running backs and Bush was hurt.

Me too but then I think we are travelling cross country to Pittsburgh who is a very good team, in a must win, situation who is at home and has had 10 days of rest. Meanwhile the 49ers are going cross country to play a good team on short rest.

That works against a bad team like the Vikings who came unprepared to play but he's got to do a lot better when we start playing better teams or teams in the division.

Hopefully they blitzed more times than typical due to Bridgewater? Certainly ok with pressure but don't want to see it 35% of the time against Roethlisberger.

Read the NFL average is 29% (?), so this would be the goal.

Yeah, didn't want to comment on Kaep earlier, but this is how i'd see it. Not being negative on Kaep, but for this game 1 i'm neutral.

In the larger picture, already said we shouldn't expect a big step (or 'two steps') up.

Lemonier was in active last game. Tank looked good. He almost got 2 sacks. He recorded 1. I like what I saw from Tank. Tartt is going to be nice. He will replace Bethea next year.

Good game already. The offense struggled early on, but came around a bit in the 2nd half. Defense played well. Next week will be a bigger test for defense.

Yea, I heard that interview. Kaep wasn't asked to do a lot. I did like the rollouts. I think it might be better to let Kaep use his legs more. Kinda of like Seattle does with Wilson. A lot of rollouts. Might have been a mistake forcing him to stay in the pocket.

I remember a play where Kap threw it short to a RB and there were offensive lineman out there ready to block. It was so odd to see and I was thinking "Who are these guys?!?!"

Yep, I remember Kap threw a short pass to Hyde who made a nice gain for something like 8 yards. Roman never called that. Still waiting to see the screen pass, lol.
