Its not Roman. His quarterback cannot execute the plays in the red zone because he cannot read a defense.

thats part of the problem, the biggest problem is that he never looks at the middle of the endzone. Which seriously diminishes room to get our WR space in the endzone.

that said, the play calling is consistently bad in the redzone. Two weeks ago against the Rams on the final possession is the perfect example of this.

He is scared to death down there. He simply has no clue what a defense is doing so he only looks outside where they cannot disguise the coverage.

When your QB cannot complete even 50% of his passes and folds like a cheap suit in the red zone, it makes it tough.
