Slowey has pitched well this season. It's his third QS in 4 attempts.
Went to the game tonight. Between the rain, wind, and temp it was brutal. Not as brutal as the watching the Reds' RHB versus RHP this season. The Reds' RHB were hitting .198 against RHP coming into the game, don't think that number improved against Slowey.
Teams seem to be pounding Votto inside at the belt and he hasn't made the adjustment. Pitchers haven't let him get extended to drive the ball to left as we're so use to seeing him do.
Latos looked good and showed improved maturity. He didn't get some calls and went behind the mound to collect himself. Big improvement over what we saw in game 5 versus the Giants last season where he loss his cool, focus, and the game. He's intimidating when he's stays in command.
The ball that JV hit for the sac fly in the first was clearly forced. I think, remembering how he reacted, he seemed surprised that it was hit that deep.
