Reds are showing what they need to do early on -- win at home. Now, to get some momentum on the road. A year ago, there wasn't much difference in the home-road records. So far this year, not true. But a 10-game trip coming up. Gotta win 6 of those 10.

Choo was HBP twice today bringing the MLB leading total to 9. He might want to let the pitchers in the N.L know he's from South Korea, not North Korea. I don't know what the record is, but HBP 9 times in 19 games is a lot.

Evidently, the record for HBP in one month was some guy for the Reds back in 1903. I forgot what his name was ... at this rate, he would be HBP about 70 times, which would be well above Ron Hunt's record.

I recall back in the day when Frank Robinson used to get hit a lot, mainly for two reasons -- and he also held his head over the plate.

Choo is exceeding way over my expectation of what I thought he would do, That at least in the 1st month of the season. Sure better than stubbs.

Just as important, I noticed again today that when the No. 2 guy doesn't reach base, the Reds don't score. When he does, they score 8 runs in one inning.
