Using him in coverage was always stupid. He was great downhill. He was a one-dimensional piece, but he did that one dimension well.

Agreed. They simply believed that they didn't have better. I would have much rather seen Mark Robinson struggle in coverage than Spillane.

Bush is a FA now since they didn't pick up his 5th year. I'm sure he'll be an April signing. Sure hope the Steelers aren't interested in re-signing him for cheap.

Sure hope they re-sign Gentry. Blocking TEs don't get the recognition they deserve, and Gentry was solid & useful in that regard. He should be cheap AF

And I am once again in the "wait & see" for Edmunds. If he can be had for cheap then I'm interested.

Once Kazee was healthy, Maulet's snap counts drastically decreased... Another reason why I think SS is still a need if they don't re-sign Edmunds. I'd much rather have Kazee in there over Maulet

Also, Minkah got restructured and freed up $10 million in cap space.

Had a feeling either Minkah or TJ would restructure with how tight things looked. But it would have been nice had they done this 2 weeks ago. They could have made a play for a lot of these affordable FA contracts being thrown around to big names.

Hoping Kazee is up to the task. But that leaves a huge question mark at slot or big dime/nickel package in the back end. Not a fan of Maulet.

He did, but there is still more long-term promise in him than in Maulet.

Still, Maulet is someone who at least needs to be in camp until he can be unseated.
