Interesting... Jerry O is no longer. Been a good run for him as an inside hire. Probably the right call to move away from him though as the ILBs have been meh since Shazier went down. Jerry became ILB coach in 2015. The year after Shazier was drafted, and 2 years after Bince. He spent 5 seasons as an assistant prior to that. Might have benefitted from having Keith Butler around, who was a defacto LB coach.

Is Curry the right guy though? Seems like his pro career & coaching career are awfully brief. Widely considered as a huge draft bust, Started coaching in the collegiate ranks for 5 seasons. 4 of which he coached the DL. Spent 4 years as an assistant in Seattle (where he was drafted as a player).

I keep seeing people sayin they wouldn't mind having Mason return & trading away Mitch....

Just out of curiosity, does anyone here agree with that?

Well... I'm not mad at this. I think Mitch is serviceable, and above all else, capable of being healthy when needed. Just not the guy most thought he could be around this time last year. A lot of people were somehow convinced that he would be something greater. He might even show some improvements with a better OL in front of him

Glad to see Sutton & Highsmith getting contract negotiations... Highsmith is smart to do early to prevent him from pricing himself out of Pgh.

I definitely think keeping a vet QB that already knows our playbook is better than trying to sign a FA.

Eh. It is what it is. As long as they dont have to rely on Trubisky for extended periods of time, it should be okay

I hope Weidl is more involved than just building the big board, and can advocate for picks during the process.

We need the linemen that he's known for stocking Philly with.
