6'5" tight end drafted out of Dayton in the 3rd round of 2020 draft. Payton must really like this kid. Good value if he lives up to 3rd round talent.

I always liked Trautman coming out. Hasn’t done much but Payton did draft him and likes him . I like giving him a shot here.

Tight end was a position of need and we still get another pick. Seems like a pretty decent move. Payton, Paton & Company seem like they put together a no nonsense draft. Great fills for special teams and lots of upside players. Not bad for how little draft capital they had to work with.

Got home from work just in time to see Denver’s last pick, nice!

And the pick is Alex Forsyth from Oregon. Plays center. Just what we need.

Noted for his football intelligence. Let's see if intelligence can overcome some of the physical deficiencies.

Draft is over. On to the UFDA's!

The odds of us signing any udfa WR has to be slim to none.

Always going to sign UDFA WR's. WR is one of the biggest rostered positions in camp. Easy to get WR's reps in camp and run route trees. However, agree with what your point probably is here in that the top UDFA"s are probably not too interested in coming to Denver if they are smart. Low chance. Basically you are coming in already looking at a PS at best. (knock on wood with health)

That kid Grimes has hands of clue.

I read one thing the Broncos really liked about Mims is his willingness and effectiveness as a downfield blocker.

I wasn't real happy with our draft last year... I feel like I can always find a reason to get excited about the draft. Last year I didn't like our first two picks in Bonitto and Greg Dulcich. I saw the good in them though... Saw life out of both this year but they also seem like one trick pony's. Bonitto as a pass rusher but not much vs the run. Dulcich a pass catcher but not much help with the run. I liked Turner-Yell from a personal standpoint but he is probably never and NFL starter just hope he can survive in Dever on ST's and depth... The Iowa State kid needs some time but I think he can help us on the depth of the DL. Wonder what Payton thinks of him he didn't panic on DL in the draft at least. This year I had low expectations coming into the draft yet still excited and left way happier then I expected. I didn't lose much sleep this year thinking about the draft not picking until Round 3 (yet still very excited) but had I know the possibility of this outcome I wouldn't have gotten a wink of sleep. ;)

Post draft I feel like DL and RB could be something we still toy with.

Currently re-watching the draft on the NFL Network since I always watch it on ESPN. Colts just traded down at pick 37. I am going to guess the Falcons select: Matthew Bergeron.
