He just flat out retired. Nothing special like signing with one of them then retiring but if he did I think he would have done with Denver. He left here with shots fired though so Denver probably wouldn't have even bothered. Although who knows he was an important part of our SB and he wasn't really significant enough with the Jaguars to "retire a Jaguar", just never really made it a big deal to sign with a team then retire. Just retired.

They do it for non hall of famers too.

Usually has to be a player who played the majority of their career on the same team he retires on. For instance Chris Harris will sign as a Bronco and then retire officially. Malik Jackson only played 4 years here and went out with no love loss. He isn't the type of player who it is really important who he retires as but he will be most notably known as a Bronco. Not really important enough to sign and retire a Bronco like it is some more household names.

Sounds like one hold up on Dalvin Cook is the fear he will face a suspension in 2024 due to the domestic assault charge he is facing.
