And please for the love of God, I hope the Hawks don't sign Baker... He's a short, poor mans, JV version of Brett Favre... Too many mistakes and doesn't take care of the football... We already have one of those on the team...

Baker will get us to 8-8, just good enough to keep us out of the sweepstakes for a talented QB in the draft.

Thats not true because no matter what the Hawks will have two 1st round picks and two 2nd round picks in 2023 and that's more than enough to get you the top QB.

Hawks have 10 picks as it sits right now in 2023.

I guess we can give up most of our draft and big parts of next years draft too for a shot at one of the top 3

I'd rather go 5-12/4-13 with Lock/Geno than 8-9/9-8 with Baker... Then we wouldn't have to give up as much draft capital to move to draft a QB because our picks would be much better...

Agreed. And let's see what there is with Lock. I mean Denver really never gave him much of a chance... now I realize there is probably no chance Lock is going to be the answer, but let's at least find out? The kid is only 25 years old and maybe a change of scenery will work. With the draft we had (two great pass blocking tackles and a speed runningback), Waldron actually able to run his system, and some of the best receivers in the game..... it's a QBs dream.

I'll be annoyed if we start Geno (he's been around too long and dealt with injuries, we KNOW that's not the answer) and devastated if we sign Mayfraud. See what you have in Lock and if it's a bust, fine. Then you know and can send him packing and you'll have the high picks next year in a QB rich class to go ALL in. Everyone important on Seattle's roster is signed through next season.... and if you draft a new QB high with the cap we'll have next year you should be able to attract free agents, even if you have to slightly overpay.

In the < 1% chance Lock actually works out and Seattle was to sniff the playoffs.... then we should be thinking SBOWL in a couple years lol.

What are your thoughts of the possibility of signing Suh to bring that nastiness to our DL?

Wrong kind of nastiness, He is average at best on the field. Teams took that bullshit when he was also nasty to game plan and play against now he is just a after thought.

No. Seattle isn't likely doing anything this year and it's a giant test year for the rookies to grow (given all the early picks) and see if Lock and some of these guys have anything worthwhile for 2023.

Give all the young guys a chance and figure out who is worth keeping. Suh is not going to help us that much (he's washed up), he'll probably just mail it in since the team is in a mini-rebuild, and takes away playing time from younger guys.

See if Mone can MAYBE be a nose tackle, see if Tyreke offers anything, give Collier one last chance, and if Jefferson (granted about to be 30) can get back to his 2019 form.

Think I like this but will wait to hear more details. Seems like a reasonable contract, removes the any need to move him or lose him. Certainly should help when the Seahawks draft their franchise QB next season and increases his market value should the Seahawks wish to trade him.
