The Penguins deserve credit for winning the Cup this year. They've been buyers, but at least it paid off for them.

The Rangers on the other hand are in a tough spot. Their past few years from 2012-2016 remind me a bit of the Flyers 2008-2012. Fortunately for us we had Richards and Carter to sell and recoup assets for a retool. Looks like the Rangers will be doing their own mini version of that with Stepan. Will be interesting to see if they can stack their cupboard as quickly as we did.

Rangers just traded the rights to sign Yandle to Florida for a 6th round draft choice and a 4th if they sign him which means they gave up Duclair and Moore a 1st and 2nd rounder for a 6th and possible 4th.

Kieffer Bellows (55.0% chance to be available at pick No. 18), Luke Kunin (61.1%), Dante Fabbro (70.1%), German Rubtsov (74.1%), Max Jones (77.4%), Julien Gauthier

I was wondering this morning if we would have to move up before Boston to get Gauthier. Also, Bellows seems to be a pure goal scorer, something we haven't had in a long time.

I'd love to do something like that. I'd love to have another pick in the early to mid 20s. That's actually what i'm pulling for I think.

Get two of Bellows, Gauthier, DeBrincat, Fabbro, or Kunin. That'd be a dream come true.

I imagine that we would attempt to trade a 2nd, 3rd and (4, 5 or 6)th round pick to get up into the 20's if someone that we really like is still lingering. It seems to me that we need to consolidate a bit here and that's one way to do it.

Draft day and nothing has changed for me. Kunin is my realistic guy. Let's see how that looks when we are on the clock
