2015 Preseason Notes

Just messin' with ya. I'm of the opinion that not much except certain position battles matter in preseason until the 3rd game.

One of the couple of things I pulled out of this game, as a Packer fan, is Quinten Rollins is going to be really good.

No I didnt mean it like that, we had more than our fair share of bad plays and sloppiness.

We had at least three defensive starters in the front 7 not play at all. He outran Adrian Hubbard btw...#49.

And #35 I thought...

Anyway. Not saying we just watched Jim Brown. Just saying Jonas Gray is a capable RB.

Geesh. Poor guy gets no love.

He doesnt seem like a special talent at all. Put him in Dallas and he likely couldnt beat out Randle. Not saying hes terrible or doesnt deserve a roster spot but he just seems like a guy rather than a guy bursting with talent.

So I'm watching the Lions/Jets game, and I've gotta say, I'm really impressed with Ameer Abdullah. It wasn't just that long run of his. He looked really good.

Golden Tate was also impressive. Both of these guys are going up my rankings.

Matt Ryan started the drive 6/6 with 86 yards and a touchdown. Julio Jones had 4 of those receptions and made a beautiful move to get the TD.

Mariota looked shaky.

He seemed uncomfortable in the pocket to me but played he well until he got sacked. Then the next play was a screen, and he threw the ball right at a defender for an interception.

After an initial rocky start, Mariota has responded well with several good throws.
