Ameer Abdullah had a 45 yard run. I didn't see it though.

Matthews is hurt, I think... no, not all starters, but some. Not saying he's overtaking Blount... just thought you'd give him a nod.

Cowboys only have some of their offensive starters in. The RB getting early work...undrafted rookie Gus Johnson.

Who?

Jonas Gray didn't play well enough to distinguish himself. But if he keeps that up, he will cause the headaches that many are expecting with the Patriots backfield.

While I don't put much stock in preseason games or performances, preseason is where undrafted Willie Parker, and 2nd-round pick Anquan Boldin (who was selected after 1st-rounder WR Bryant Johnson) turned heads.

So it doesn't happen often but sometimes a stud is born in preseason.

I remember spotting Arian Foster in the preseason his first year- then he took off. I wasn't smart enough to draft him that first year though.

Let me take you guys back to 2009. Keeper league draft where the rookies always go early.

The top 3 picks were Knowshon Moreno, Beanie Wells, and Donald Brown. These were the "consensus" top 3 rookie running backs. But from watching preseason, the guy I wanted was LeSean McCoy. I traded up from #6 to #4 to make sure I get him and it worked out well.

I believe he out ran Clinton Dix.
We overloaded the other side and got pinned in. That TD run was more scheme, and a massive hold right in the hole, than Jonas Gray.

Haha, of course it wasn't the Packers fault. ;)

No I didnt mean it like that, we had more than our fair share of bad plays and sloppiness.

We had at least three defensive starters in the front 7 not play at all. He outran Adrian Hubbard btw...#49.

Just messin' with ya. I'm of the opinion that not much except certain position battles matter in preseason until the 3rd game.
