Well we are less than 3 weeks from the beginning of the season and it is worth noting Manuel is signed only through this season. I am thinking another missed playoffs and he is gone. I seem to feel an "Andy Reid" type of situation developing. I hope this doesn't go that way, and the Phightens go deep into the playoffs, but if not we could see a new regime in Philadelphia (Amaro included).

So Halladay and Hamels are really stinking it up. I know it's a long season but to see both of them have poor showings in their first two outings really sucks.

Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. told Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com that struggling ace Roy Halladay will have as long of a leash as he needs to get things sorted out: "If he needs 30 starts he’ll get it. As long as he’s healthy and he keeps working at it -- as much as he needs."

I saw that interview yesterday. I missed the "30 starts" bit but it really sounds like Doc will have a pretty long leash and one of his own making. I can imagine he will figure it out well before 30 starts.

I sure as hell hope so. His cutter has been getting crushed. I read something about him saying he is trying to hard to force the ball to where he wants it to go rather than just letting it go there naturally. Hopefully that little epiphany helps him in his next start.

I am telling you bro Fux is not bad this year - Only a couple trolls left but a bunch of new guys that actually talk baseball and so far appear OK. Personally I can live without the cartoons.

Well, the Phils should be able to keep it going this weekend with the fishies. Usually makes for some easy W's. lol

Gotta watch out for this Jose Fernandez guy though who starts for Miami on Saturday. He just got an early call up and is apparently a real dealer. If Hamels finally gets a good start going we could have ourselves a nice pitchers duel tomorrow.
