Since we're talking dynasty, consider that Eli won't be there forever. So what happens to the offense once he's done and a rookie QB takes over?

Me personally I don't like to look that far into the future (even if it is 2 or 3 years away).

As for Mixon: not necessarily that high on him, but I'm sure he's a solid RB2. Seems like the Bengals trust him since he wasn't challenged in the draft or free agency. And who knows, Gurley, Gordon (LAC) and Freeman (ATL) had unimpressive rookie seasons and then exploded in their 2nd year. This is Mixon's 2nd.

Food for thought.

Then the offense gets better :thumb:

Just got done talking to another team that had vetoed the deal. He thought the team that traded for Barkley got robbed. He also owns David Johnson and was that other deal that was out there for guy I traded with. He was only offered Mixon and a single first. Also he has almost nothing after Johnson. Lynch and Cohen and R. Smith and M. Brown. That’s it and remember this is standard scoring.
I’m going to try to work a deal for Johnson.

Stay tuned!

So..
Mixon
Guice
'19 #1
'20 #1
'20 #2
All for Barkley, straight up? Christ, get him to add the '19 #2, and do it. I don't think much of anyone is worth that damn much

Yea this is getting close to being at the point where it's worth more than any 1 player. Yet i still feel cautious about it if i'm harold. Just don't love giving up an elite asset for a bunch of maybes.

Ok I did the deal.
Traded Barkley

Got Mixon, Guice, 2019 first and second, 2020 first and second.

Time will tell if this was wise, but really I could not in good faith asked for more then that.

Hmmm.

Im thinking you did the right thing but that i wouldn't have had the balls to do it lol.

But I would now trade those picks for talent this year. I hate holding equity you can't use now. I'd trade the picks for players then you could always trade the players for picks.

Counterpoint: those picks are guaranteed to gain value over the next 1-2 years. Any players could be worthless. Why not just hang on to them and trade them only if you need to in the moment.

If you dont like guice i wouldnt do it. I love guice and im still pretty meh on it. Although i may be lower on mixon.

Sometimes it doesn’t matter if I don’t like a player, if I think he has decent to good trade value, I’ll take him just to flip him for someone I do like.

I’m seeing 3 vetoes for this trade already. However the commish is the only one that matters and I don’t think he believes in stopping a trade, unless culusion is involved. Guess I’ll find out. The only verbal feedback I have gotten questioned why I would do this trade. Shoot that should be obvious.

Ugh thats the worst. Vetoes should be illegal. Other people don't get to run your team for you!

Yes it's a money league. However I think differently then you. Think I can hopefully swing a deal for a top RB.I'm in talks with the Johnson owner right now. He really needs help with his RB corp.

OK I sent him a offer. Offered Mixon, Guice, 2019 first, 2020 second and Shobert for David Johnson and Martinez.

Nice to see that Mixon is being undervalued.

What? You think he’s a better RB then Johnson?
Not at all.
But for him to be thrown in with Guice and a 1st and another 1st and a 2nd....
...it just sends a message that he's just ok.
As if the "real" incentive are the draft picks.

At least, that's the way my translation skills interpret trades.
Which is probably why no one trades with me?

That’s not the reason no one trades with you. You just tend to like your roster as is and turn away anyone interested in trading.

Whose draft pick is that?? I would not want to give up more for Johnson than I got for Barkley. Even if it is just potential more.

@HaroldSeattle Sorry dude I have been sick for the better part of the last two weeks.

With all the picks it would be very hard for me to not accept. I am several pages behind but im sure its been said. You would be losing 1st round value in the startup draft year for rookie picks. It depends on how much risk you want to take because everyone thinks Barkley is the real deal. Do we know if there is a similar prospect coming out in the next two years?
