This one is easy enough that I don't think we need a discussion thread on it.

Extra point = 1 point

FGs value is up for vote.

Not a fan of the missed kick negative.

All FGs are 3 points is self explanatory

3, 4, or 5. 0-39 yards is 3 40-49 is 4 50+ is 5

Divide by 10 and round down.... 0-19 yds is 1 point 20-29 yds is 2 30-39 is 3 40-49 is 4 50-59 is 5 60+ is 6

Divide by ten and use decimal. I am not going to list the breakdown, but a couple of examples are 19 yarder is 1.9, a 37 yarder is 3.7, a 52 yarder is 5.2

Why not? How many games have been lost by a missed FG or extra point? Kicker can lose a game for his team, he should be able to negatively affect your fantasy

If it has support, then we add it. If a kicker misses a 50 yard FG, why punish him for something that has left than a 50% chance.

EP I use to like it for them, but the NFL moved the distance back.

A gimme FG, I understand the use there.

Did decimal scoring win for the regulars? I like it for kickers, but only if universal

Bear in mind, that was my personal curiosity flowing, not my argumentative debating side.

But obviously if we can award more for a made FG of 50+, can we make a different value for missed FG's? If we can't than sure, why bother. I can totally get behind not penalizing a kicker for a missed 50 yarder, no worries there, but from 40 in, I like to see the dings, and yes, still with the EP's too. For a professional kicker, an EP should still be an automatic.

^^^^ This.
If he kicks a 26 yard field goal he gets 2.6 points.
If he kicks a 47 yarder... 4.7 points.

Once again, I would accept negative K points. But I don't like them for the K.
Sometimes the snap is bad. The field conditions are horrible. Or the weather is a factor.
Doesn't seem fair to punish the K for a miss.

This.

I don't like the idea of penalizing the kicker for missing the desperation attempt at the end of he half. Missed PATs and chip shots, sure dock them. FGs over 45 yards should not be negative though.

I think this may be a case where we have to narrow to 2 choices and vote again.

Separate vote on penalties for misses?

Starting to look that way, but I do find the vote interesting that people are going for either the most conservative or the wildest.

Yes, I dropped the ball on that one. More than enough have called for it.

While I'm in favor of keeping the K points conservative (decimal).
If the majority vote to add negative points for misses, then I'd want to bump up the kicker points.

PAT misses should definitely be penalized. I can get behind no minus for FG misses

Naw, you didn't drop the ball. Simple oversight

I never considered decimal scoring for Field Goals
Now that I see it in print it looks great and would get my vote

As for missed field goals well. I'm with Joe here even though almost every league I have played in has negative for a miss. Who really is at fault. The snapper the holder or the kicker
Thus if you score neg for a miss you are actually scoring a team stat
Maybe Milk is wearing me down but if we used team kicker than the team is at fault and thus the negative could be useful
However we thankfully do not use team kicker so here is where I'm with Joe. Who is at fault

uh oh what about from the other side of the fence. Who gets the credit the kicker alone for the positive points

Hmmmm. Maybe sometimes our democratic ways dwell to deeply. It is after all only a kick and a kicker. Now that's a kicker

Ps. If we go negative I'm with Treff any 40 plus can not be penalized
