Nice... I was watching a lot of his "free" stuff... It looks really good but wasn't sure if it was stuff I could do by myself lol... I was planning on the once a month one... Maybe 2-3 months and just go from there... I thought Dash first since he had more to learn so I'd get more info... I think I'll do it and see... There's a double play academy and an ex-pro, both charge $150 for 5 sessions but you have to pay for the 5 sessions... I'll do it tonight and see what the turnaround is and let you know what it looks like...

The more you can attend his lessons, the better. No one will ever study hid swing as much as you will, so the more you learn, the better. Remember, the quieter and simpler, the better. College scouts tell me the undisputed biggest mistake kids make is not being ready to hit...to much but wiggling, late loading. Next is hitting around the ball, trying to pull the ball instead of keeping their hands in and driving it where it was pitched

You guys ever heard of Jake Epstein...? Epsteinonline batting academy...? Thinking about signing up Dash for sure and maybe Walker or just 1 and use the stuff I learn from 1 and use on both... It looks really good to me but I could be getting set up to be STACHED! If you know of him/it think it's a good idea or not let me know... It's much more reasonable than the guys here charge and I have the time to do the drills and what not... Here's the site...

I'm completely with UK on working at things little by little. I battle this everyday at practice. One coach can't help himself from haulting drills to breakdown every little thing for one kid. Especially when it comes to hitting. It overloads and accomplishes less than just focussing on creating good habits bit by bit overtime. Perfect practice doesn't make perfect, cuz perfect practice doesn't exist.

I also think that every hitter is different and being comfortable in the box is most important. Less is more to me when it comes to movement. But if a kid does go with a leg kick, and he's done it long enough where he can honestly say it's how he bats. Well, that's how he bats. And we can work from there.

There's some "hitting guru" that a lot of area kids here go to. Nice old guy, but he fucks their shit up like nobodies bidness.

Almost all of em end up with hands by their ear. Drives me nuts.

But I loved striking out his grandson. Never could handle fastballs inside. Which, coincidently, half my team can't either. Lol

Was in an 0-12 or so, swinging at bad pitches because he was thinking of getting out instead of thinking of hitting it hard .So he comes up with 2 on and 2 out in the last inning, us trailing by a run .I call time, can tell he's nervous. I tell him to grip it and rip it, and if he hit a bomb, I'd take him out for the biggest steak on the menu .He didn't go yard, but he hit it off the CF wall to win the game. He was thinking about hitting it out, and that's how he swung .Mechanics are the key to consistency, but visualization is a powerful tool as well
